Fest Buddies is a volunteer recruitment business We match up volunteers to festivals and events. We are aware of the need and importance around Internet privacy issues and the purpose of this document is to make clear to you how we intend to use the information provided to us when you contact us or sign up with Fest Buddies

Fest Buddies are responsible for ensuring that this notice is made available to all potential new volunteers prior to collecting / processing their personal data

We do not collect data from you that you have not willingly provided to us, so for example when visiting Fest Buddies we do not know who you are, however we will use tracking data to help us analyse where in the country and the world those visiting our site reside and which pages of our website are being looked at and for how long

What information do we collect?

The two main data collection methods for Fest Buddies are Contact information and Sign up Information

Contact Information

You may visit and have questions you wish to ask before completing our volunteer sign up pages or indeed contact us to supply volunteers. This information may include name / company name, email and telephone number. You agree as part of our service to you that we can communicate with you directly

 

Sign Up information

We will collect information about you when you sign up with Fest Buddies. Not all sections are compulsory on sign up. We collect data in the following categories – personal details, contact details, experience, identification, reference, next of kin, DBS, Health, conviction, right to work. This information helps us understand who you are so we can discuss volunteering opportunities with you. You agree as part of our service to you that we can communicate with you directly.

We may use your contact information to create newsletters and surveys so you can hear about opportunities we are involved in that may interest you.

Any sensitive personal data provided is to help with identification and right to work . The user can provide this to us on Sign up or bring along to the first initial volunteering role performed. All data is carefully managed as referenced in this policy. No sensitive personal data is ever shared with third parties

How do we use personal information?

 

When you sign up we use your information in the following ways;

• To process your application with Fest Buddies

• Sending emails to you about services we offer

• Providing estimates and quotes

• Sending invoices

• To help us match volunteers to roles e.g by location, experience etc

• To ensure applicants have the right to work in the UK and are who they say they are

• Internal operations and administration to help us improve our website

• Delivering marketing and events communications

• Carrying out polls and surveys

• Security vetting

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure, any transmission of data carries a risk, however we will take all reasonable measures to protect your personal information

In the event of a security lapse any affected clients will be informed without delay.

In order for Fest Buddies to provide services to you we need to collect data. We are committed to ensuring hat the information that we collect and use is appropriate for this purpose and does not constitute an invasion of your privacy All information is provided with explicit consent.

• The right to request a copy of the information we have about you

• The right to correct data which is out of date or inaccurate

• The right for data to be removed

• The right to withdraw from marketing activity
